Unlike science fiction, fantasy movie does not aspire to explain the world in which events take place in the point of view of science. The world of a fantasy film exists in the form of some assumptions (most often its location relatively to our reality is not mentioned at all: whether it is a parallel world, or another planet), and its physical laws may differ from the realities of our world. In such a world gods, magic, mythical creatures (dragons, gnomes, trolls), ghosts and any other fantastic beings can be real.
